About Lodge Lavida

Lodge LavidLavida, the Italian word for “LIFE”, is situated adjacent to the Premier Game Park in the Cullinan area where the famous Cullinan Diamond was discovered in 1905.


The owners, and management, of Lavida have created a retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Therefore a strict policy of peace and quietness is imposed.


If you are looking for a noisy breakaway, partying late into the night, then Lavida is not the place to stay over at.


However, if you want to relax and want to experience Life, Peace, Tranquility and Oneness with God, then LAVIDA is the place to be.

 

The 72 ha on which the lodge is situated was the vegetable basket supplying the Italian POW’s during World War II with vegetables, and the many water canals cemented during 1942/43 bears witness to the Engineering ingenuity of the Italian POW community.
